Biography

Dr Rajdeep is a consultant cardiologist at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.

He qualified from the University of Southampton Medical School in 1986, then completed specialist training in cardiology in northwest London.

This included three years of clinical research in the fields of:

  • cardiovascular imaging
  • ischaemic heart disease
  • hypertension
  • heart failure.

This was followed by comprehensive training in both advanced echocardiography and percutaneous coronary intervention.

Publications

Dr Khattar has published several peer-reviewed papers on a broad range of cardiological conditions and has active research interest in coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiovascular risk assessment and valve disease.

Clinical expertise

Dr Rajdeep Khattar has over 10 years’ experience as a consultant cardiologist, with a particular interest in coronary artery disease, valvular disease and heart failure.

He has a considerable experience in clinical cardiology, particularly the use of advanced echocardiography techniques to diagnose and manage patients with suspected cardiac conditions.

Dr Khattar is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
