Cardiac MRI guideline indications in patients with cardiovascular disease

Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals will be holding a GP and primary care focused webinar hosted by Dr Chiara Bucciarelli-Ducci, consultant cardiologist in CMR. She is widely recognized as a leader, a celebrated speaker, and a distinguished author in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) as well as Chief Executive Officer for the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR)

The webinar will review the indications of cardiac MRI in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines. It will use clinical cases to illustrate the role of cardiac MRI in identifying a final diagnosis, guide management and inform diagnosis.

Learning objectives:

• Review the clinical indications for cardiac MRI in the European Society of Cardiology guidelines
• Learn when to refer a patient for cardiac MRI
• Learn what clinical information to expect from a cardiac MRI report
• Learn the added value of cardiac MRI compared to other tests
• Familiarise with the contraindications to cardiac MRI (learn when not to refer for cardiac MRI)
