CPDProf. Dr. A.H. Maitland-Van der Zee (Anke-Hilse) was trained as a pharmacist (1999 Groningen University), clinical pharmacologist and epidemiologist. She obtained her PhD in 2003 at Utrecht University and worked as a postdoc at the Human Genetics Center of the University of Texas in Houston, Tx USA from 2003-2005. From 2005-2016 she worked at the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology of Utrecht University first as an assistant Professor and since 2012 an associate Professor. In 2016 she was appointed as a full Professor of Precision Medicine in Respiratory Disease at the
Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam.
Among other things Maitland-van der Zee is the principal investigator of P4O2 (Precision Medicine for more Oxygen, a large public private partnership in the Netherlands. She has been the president of the Netherlands Respiratory Society, FIGON (Federation of Innovative Drug research in the Netherlands) and EASYM (European Association of Systems Medicine). She was recently elected in the executive committee of EUFEPS (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Sciences).
Maitland-Van der Zee published more than 340 international publications in international scientific journals, and she is in the lead of a research group of 40 people.
