Overview

Dr Simon Davies, consultant interventional cardiologist and Dr Alison Duncan, associate specialist in cardiology are joined by Assistant Professor Ahmad Elsayed Yousef from Ain Shams University, to discuss their shared interest of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).  

As life expectancy improves, TAVI is now incredibly common and the use of bioprosthetic valve increases. 

This talk provides and overview on valvular heart disease, the development of TAVI and when a valve-in-vale procedure is needed. Presenting of patient case studies, alongside how to review patients and manage them.

Dr Simon Davies is a consultant interventional cardiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital and an honorary senior lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute.
