Genomics and genetic testing in aortovascular conditions

Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals will be holding a secondary care focused webinar hosted by Dr Neeti Ghali, Consultant in clinical genetics and genomics at Royal Brompton Hospital.

Learning objectives:

• Understand the concept of genomics and the difference between genetics and genomics
• Understand the genetic basis of different aortovascular conditions
• Consider when genetic testing may be appropriate and complexities around genetic testing
• Review the clinical utility of genetic testing for the patient’s ongoing surveillance and management and for family members
• Consider other technologies and factors that may be relevant in the management of these conditions eg. epigenetics
