Prof. Lorenz Räber is a Swiss interventional cardiologist, currently appointed as the Director of the Catheterization Laboratory at Bern University Hospital.

He is a Professor of Cardiology at Bern University Hospital and a Faculty Member. His clinical activity includes treatment of coronary and structural heart disease and chronic pulmonary embolism patients.

He obtained a PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Serruys in 2014 in Rotterdam. Lorenz Räber's research focuses on the development, diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, in particular with the help of new methods such as optical coherence tomography or infrared spectroscopy.

He is the author of over 180 publications and numerous book chapters.
