Occupational Lung Disease – Keeping up to Date

A one day meeting on the 7th May, focusing on current and emerging issues in occupational lung disease.  The day will cover current issues in disease patterns, diagnosis, management and prognosis – with ample opportunity for discussion.

Suitable for healthcare specialists in occupational and respiratory medicine.

Topics will include:

  • Cases from the clinic
  • Update on silicosis from artificial stone in the UK
  • Featured talks on:
    • Air pollution and asthma attacks: What can we advise? (by Professor Paul Pfeffer)
    • Lung problems in athletes: Is sport an occupational hazard? (by Professor James Hull)
  • Immunological testing for occupational allergens
  • Round up of recently published literature
