Post Graduate Course in Cardiometabolic Medicine

This Postgraduate Course in Cardiometabolic Medicine consists of a four-day programme. State of the art lectures alternate with a great variety of interactive sessions, including workshops, rapid fire sessions and hands-on imaging sessions.

Learning Objectives and Overall Goals

  • Review and disseminate the latest knowledge about advances in diagnosis and treatment of cardiometabolic disease
  • Understand causes and mechanisms of obesity and decide on medical or surgical intervention
  • Assess and manage atherosclerosis, based on risk scores, imaging modalities and lipid profiles
  • Screen for and diagnose phenotypes of diabetes and define treatment targets according to ESC Guidelines and foster diagnostic decisions and management of chronic kidney disease
  • Diagnose metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and endocrine disorders and review updated evidence-based approach to medical management of heart failure and selected comorbidities

This course offers a unique opportunity to become one of the first experts in the seminal area of cardiometabolic medicine.
